“Once the gel has soaked up plenty of metal, you pull it out and treat it with chemicals to extract pure neodymium” And this on an industrial scale, so I guess we swap one set of toxic chemicals for another, and this will be kinder to the Planet, I don’t think so, anyways the Planet doesn’t care, but the people might 👉 “After Skool - George Carlin - The Planet Isn't Going Anywhere. “…less harmful than others.” Vince, that just means at best slowing down the inevitable, as it’s just one of the many components within the poly and meta-crisis, crises that are characterized by multiple, overlapping, and intensifying environmental and social challenges that threaten planetary health and human well-being. Key ecological problems contributing to these crises include climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion, but these are now beyond being problems they’re predicaments, whilst problems may have solutions, predicaments have no solution just outcomes and that’s the state we’re in. Hopium may extend some people’s lives Vince but for the great majority that won’t be the case. But I’ve found from experience you can never win anyone over in a discussion with those who believe in a monotheistic deity, polytheism or forever optimists with their belief in Hopium (deceptive expectations) as they’ll always play that card.
